I fairly recently finished watching the entire 100 episodes of 'Nip/Tuck' and, in a teeny tiny way, this kind of quenches my thirst for more plastic surgery drama.
I'm looking forward to more episodes of this one.
I haven't seen Botched, but Nip/Tuck was a great show.

It wasn't always necessary to go to Beverly Hills for a good surgeon. The woman who owned the hair salon I went to in Granada Hills CA had her face lift and tummy tuck by a doctor in Tarzana (both in the San Fernando Valley) and the results were awesome. One of her clients had a badly wrinkled face and went to the same surgeon for her lift and I was amazed at how terrific she looked after the surgery. I hardly recognized her, she looked years younger and the wrinkles were gone. At that time I thought if I ever felt the need for surgery I would go to that doctor but to this day haven't felt the need.

I always used to say that if I had a lot of money, I would get a bunch of stuff done. But, since I've seen some of the results --- bad, horrible results - I would be terrified to get anything done! I mean, even people who are supposed to be so good and certified and all that --- sometimes the results are just awful! How could you ever be sure you were getting someone who was really competent and trustworthy and knew for sure what they were doing and what the outcome would be???
Some people I can understand what they get done -- such as being disfigured in an accident or something --- but some of these people just are sick in the head and will never be satisfied no matter how many procedures they have. The poor face can only take so much and then just gives out!
Janice D. used to be so beautiful and she is scary looking now.

Nip/Tuck had a fabulous first couple seasons, it was mesmerizing to me, but once they moved the docs out to Hollyweird, it took a turn for the worse, it went from interesting to off the wall for me.

The show educates folks on the high risks of getting 'things done'. There are no guarantees and it's elective surgery. You have yourself to thank for your results if things get out of sort. I am a fan of Janice as she's a standard in the super model/runway industry. She's aged but she still has 'it'.

Watched tonight's episode. This show is truly an education.
I also really like it that it is dedicated to repairing botched surgeries.
