It will be a beautiful and bittersweet day today - please keep everyone in thought and if you can, offer a prayer for everyone today. It's inspiring to see how Boston has risen with hope over despair, but it doesn't surprise me at all. Good luck to all the runners.

Boston is strong and resilient for sure!!!! So many amazing stories came from last year's tragedy. It looks like they will have nice weather, and I wish all the participants a safe and healthy run. Smile

Thanks for the reminder, Cakers. I'm excited as it's a big deal in Boston, but at the same time I'm apprehensive. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the extra security will keep the nuts away.

BTW, speaking of the Boston terrorist attacks of last year, I'm going to Jeff Bauman's book signing on Wednesday. He has a new book out that is getting very good reviews and he's been having book signings all over the region. I am in awe of his courage and resilience and decided that I want to support him, his girlfriend and new baby-on-the-way by buying his new book.

Thanks for starting this thread, Cakers! I have friends and relatives who are both running and attending the Marathon. I'm hoping for a record turn out to prove just exactly how Strong Boston is!
