I don't really care if he dies, goes into solitary or just rots away in prison for the rest of his life. I just never want him to see the light of day again, and I think that's already been accomplished. I'd love to see his name blotted out for all eternity.

I feel exactly the same.

I think once he is sentenced we won't hear about him anymore.

And this thought of him being a martyr, who cares what they think. Most thinking people know there are no virgins waiting for this scum of the earth. Don't buy into the rhetoric. It's just another line to try to spare this terrorist his life.

Solitary confinement is for the protection of the inmate and the people guarding him. It is also used to keep order throughout the remaining penal population and generally is for 'high profile' convicts. While many who were directly affected by his crimes that day are not calling for the death penalty, I truly believe it is not applied evenly under our current system, I don't think that makes me a 'bleeding heart', lol.

People are just venting, OR. I truly believe that no one here would inflict any harm on another human being. Venting is actually quite healthy after a traumatic event such as the marathon bombings. It helps people to process the horrific event.
