Like the police wear. Good idea or not?

If not, why not?

IMO it’s a great idea and reasons are obvious.

Having taught for 35 years, bodycams would only be a good idea depending upon several factors. Age of students, setting, etc. Many schools now have video cameras in classrooms...so bodycams would be doing essentially the same thing...and I know privacy laws are an issue because all students are being recorded and must have releases from parents for this to happen. If they refuse to sign the waiver, sometimes the cameras, body or mounted on the wall, can’t be used.

I think it's a great idea. It would be a deterrent for bad behavior and help clarify situations where bad behavior is present. How often do teachers have to deal with parents who say thing like,"My kid is a good kid. He would never do that." It solves that problem, too. As far as privacy goes, since when is a classroom private?

Where did that come from? Why don't you share what you think the obvious reasons are.

I've been thinking, for quite some time, that there would/might eventually be a need for mobile elementary school teachers.

Have a teacher come into one parent''s home and teach, say, eight children (same age) at a time.

They could go into the back yard for fresh air and playtime.

That would be a 'safer' way, imo.

Just a thought, as usual.

'More or less', 'Right or wrong', 'In general', and 'Just thinking out loud ' (as usual).

Considering how bad bullying is in school, I've always been pro cameras. Not only in the classroom but in the halls, cafeteria and outside. I'm talking not only bullying done peer to peer but teachers doing some horrible stuff to kids as well.

This is REALLY needed in daycare/pre-schools where children can't tell you what has been done to them. Same, btw, in elderly care facilities.

Good idea? No

Why?  What's the purpose?

My tax dollars are better spent on other educational needs.

The reasons for a teacher wearing a body cam would be what exactly?

I would like to know what the obvious reasons are?
