Re: Body of Hiker Found in YNP

We're actually going to Yellowstone in September (can hardly wait), meeting 2 sets of friends there we haven't seen in years and promise to stick to well supervised hiking trails... oh, and gift shop hiking!  (I've gotten some of my best sweatshirts at Yellowstone LOL!)..... Woman LOL

They have trapped a bear that they suspect killed him ... .if found  that she did .   She will be put down.

If they trap and kill the mom bear, what will happen to the cub/cubs?  Makes me sad because the mom bear was probably protecting her cub/cubs.

That is just so wrong on so many levels.  We hike into their territory near their cubs and then when they protect their own in the only way they know how, we choose to put them down.  I can't say anymore without being inappropriate on a public board.
