I just read this story, and I don't know if I'm in shock or in awe!

I don't understand Tik Tok that much. What I DO know is ordinary people can become "famous" on Tik Tok by doing sometimes-staged things. Then they show up at a Hollywood awards ceremony and we're looking at them showing off their outfit on the red carpet. And a lot of us are saying, "Who's that?"

So this young woman followed a previous example, got on Tik Tok, and starting with one BOBBY PIN traded all the way up to a HOUSE! I'm still SMH!

If you've read about this, what do you think? If you haven't, try to find an article about it. Then come back here and post your thoughts.

What on earth have we come to?!   Smiley Wink

Tik Tok is owned by the Chinese company, ByteDance, so I wouldn't trust using it.

Me, either.  Earlier this year there was a segment on 60 Minutes about Tik Tok and how dangerous it is.  If you go on it, it goes into your device/computer, and it stays there, and can do all sorts of damage on an ongoing basis. Scary stuff.

After I saw the 60 Minutes show, I upped my malware protection, just because.

I didn't read this story, but this same thing got a lot of attention about ten years ago when a guy started with a red paperclip and traded up to a house.
