Has deteriorated and she has been moved to hospice care according to her aunt. Such a tragedy.

I feel really bad about all this too.  

I also admit to being surprised they would attempt to keep her on machines so long.  She's been brain dead since day 1.

I hate to hear this, word down here had it they were thinking of moving her back home for what time she had left, in familiar surroundings.

She could potentially be on hospice a long time- there have been many cases in the news over the years.

This is very sad.  Hospice will only take you if the doctor says you have six months or less to live.  If you live longer than that, then you will no longer have hospice care.  At least that's the way it was with my cousin.

She's been gone a long time. While I understand how hard it can be to let go, her family needs to set her free.

When my sister was placed in Hospice care, we were told the maximum was 6 months.  She barely made 6 days.
