@isaboo

Thank you. I DVR his weekly show, but I think that is on Sunday nights. I believe Bob died some time Monday. Will see if I can find it. Thanks again.

Thank you for posting this thread @hckynutjohn

I haven't seen Bob Beckel in ages.  I always enjoyed watching The Five with him on it.  Like you, I didn't agree with what he said either .. however, I felt he was "true to his words & feelings."  This is sad news.

My condolences to his Family & Friends.  Heart

Glad to post it. I heard it on Hannity during his show. Though him and Bob were complete opposites in the political spectrum, they were the best of friends.

Hannity said that Bob had a key to his home, and his kids called him Uncle Bob. That is how it should be, but!  Opposites, but were best friends. Speaks volumes about both of them.

Who?

I've never heard of him either. RIP to whoever he is. Godspeed.

There is absolutely no need to ask "who?" The internet is a HUGE tool of information. Type in his name and find an answer to your inquiry. Woman Frustrated

I've never understood why someone would post a "Who?"

If you were really interested in finding out, a very quick and easy internet search would give you your answer in a matter of seconds.

Instead, you post the question in a forum, perhaps waiting a long period for someone to answer?  What if no one responded?  Would you never find out the answer?

Is it laziness?  Let someone tell me, I don't want to do the research?

Or does the question "who?" really mean something else......

Prayers to his family and friends.

Loved him on The Five. He could be wicked funny at times and very sentimental at others. I remember when he thanked Eric Bolling during one show for saving his life the night before at a restaurant ... apparently he started choking on some food and Eric came to his rescue. Luckily they both happened to be at the same restaurant at the same time. Bob was a bit emotional while telling the story and Eric seemed a bit embarrased ... I thought it was a very touching moment on the show.

I rarely agreed with his point of view ... but I often enjoy talking/listening to people I don't agree with if I think they're being honest about their opinion.

Apparently he had his demons ... but none of us are perfect.

RIP, Mr. Beckel.

@Linda0215b You beat me to it Linda.  I have no idea who this man is either.  Never heard of him before.  It is perfectly fine to ask who a person is.  It is done frequently here on the forums.

Bob Beckel has died. He was 73 years old. While I disagreed with a lot of what he said, he was a funny man, and full of kindness and humor.

Condolences to all the Beckel family and friends.

Rest in Peace Bob, you will be missed by many.  🙏

@hckynutjohn My thoughts precisely...Bob Beckel was close friends with Cal Thomas and he spoke highly of his decades-long friendship with Bob in spite of being on different sides of the isle.  I went to school with Cal, know him well and think highly of him, his words and his journalism.

Glad to know I'm not the only person who didn't know about him. Posters like to say "Just Google it. Google is your friend" Well Google isn't my friend. My friends don't follow me around like Google.

At least now we know who he is.

That is a wonderful story about Eric Bolling saving Bob's life, @Wahoogaz ,  and Bob's gratitude.

@ScarletDove,  how neat that you know Cal Thomas, and think well of him.  I do too, and imagine that he is quite a gent.  And such a skilled writer, to boot.
