@ScarletDove,  how neat that you know Cal Thomas, and think well of him.  I do too, and imagine that he is quite a gent.  And such a skilled writer, to boot.


@Oznell   Cal was friends to everyone during school years and highly respected...he is a big tall guy, strong faith, a very fine man and a smart, talented writer.  He and Beckel jointly wrote the book "Common Ground" based on their column.

I first saw Bob on the Hannity show. Then with the advent of "The Five" Show, he was 1 of the originals of that show. That is where I got to know him better, and see him as the person he was, irrespective of his politics.

 

He never hid his struggles with alcohol and other issues. There was not any of the others on that show that did not express how much they cared for Bob.

 

Had I not chose to watch Fox news, I doubt I would have known this man i grew to respect and genuinely care about him and his struggles in life.

 

RIP Bob 🙏
