@RollTide2008 Penn State Creamery would be amazing to tour. What a great testiment to supporting dairies in the area and sustaining that agribusiness and ice cream business and science!

Re: Blue Bell Ice Cream/Bride's Cake

@monicakm and all
This brand is our favorite. It's readily available in GA. Our favorite is cherry vanilla. They put whole cherries in it. It tastes like marachino cherries mixed with vanilla ice cream. It's about $9 reg $ and if I'm lucky, $8 on sale. The funny thing is that I'm rarely tempted to eat ice cream; it just isn't that good to me. The Blue Bell brand is the best to be found in our region IMO and I would eat WAY too much of it if I bought it regularly. And I never touch ice cream, shakes or anything ice cream related! It is THE best 👍

They only reason DH bought the Blue Bell Ice Cream was because it was 2 for $9.  I think that's about half price but you had to buy two to get the deal. They had a coffee flavor but I've never seen it in our area.  Never looked for it though so maybe it is available locally

Just checked the sales circular for the price. It was 2 for 10, not 9.  I know I remember when it was occasionally two for five dollars, maybe less.

Re: Blue Bell Ice Cream/Bride's Cake

They both came out quite a few years back.  Grooms Cake was discontinued back in 2018 but it is now back on the shelves this week.  I have not tried either even though I have a small cup of Blue Bell every night.  Bride's cake as almond and amaretto flavoring in it and Grooms cake as strawberries not a fan of either in ice cream.

I exercised every darn day for Blue Bell.  It is my passion.

@Kachina624 remember when we were tracking the return of Bluebell back in the stores after the listeria outbreak in 2015?  I felt so bad you had to wait longer for its return then I did.  Living in Texas close to its home base did help!! Heart

I went to Penn State. After eating Penn State ice cream, everything else is sub-par.

My son went to Penn State and when we would visit we would stop by The Creamery...great ice cream!

Now my favorite is a local place which is 5 minutes from my home that makes handmade ice cream.  They have flavors that are staples but also seasonal flavors as well.
