@Witchy Woman  We have the same type of phone and have blocked several dozen calls. When a blocked number calls, the phone rings once, drops the call, and identifies the caller as blocked. There was one number in particular that  tried a half dozen times and finally gave up.

@Witchy Woman  ...... At home I have a phone that can block calls.  What usually with most calls is that they stop completely.   But with some the phone will ring once and then stop.  At my office I do not have a phone that can block calls although Verizon marks some numbers as Spam on my caller ID.  One day I got a few calls that showed MY name and phone number on the caller ID.  What is that all about??!?!?!

To add another gem....I was checking my phone statement - AT/T - from last month and I have a phone number on my 'long distance calls' that I did not call!!  I checked the number and it is a spam number!!!   Now the call was only 1 minute and only 7 cents, but it made me furious!  I did not make that call, so how was it charged to my phone??

Called AT/T, CS lady removed the call and charge, but told me that spam callers are mastering new ways to get into people's systems  And - they (AT/T) cannot do anything about it!!!!  As I told her, it wasn't the 7 cents that ticked me off, but what if next time the call is $100.00???  Am still deciding to change phone company...

I don’t know how to block calls. (I’m the daughter of an electrical engineer, but I am NOT  a techie, nor do I want to be one.) We don’t use our cell except when we travel. Here at the lake, our landline is the reliable choice, so I wonder: Is there is a device for blocking or screening those calls? There is no rest from robocalls (from all sides) here once the election season really gets going.

Now a days, many phone systems come with a blocking device already installed.  Mine does...a Panasonic from HSN!  But a while ago, QVC was selling a blocking device that you plug into the phone.  Check online or Amazon...
