Re: Blizzard Watch Posted for Long Island!

It looks like the Cape where I live will be some what spared, we're supposed to get a snow/rain mixture and not the blizzard that is affecting the rest of the state, But.......that doesn't mean we're out of the woods, it could turn.

Hi @CLEM.  No, I'm afraid I don't remember that particular storm.  I do, however, remember the blizzard of 96 where we got 36 inches and schools were closed for an entire week!

I'm in northeast Philly, to answer your question.  Stay safe!

Well it's official, this will be a mega storm since NYC schools will be closed tomorrow and they hardly ever close them!

But you're still going to get 12-15 inches! What does another half a foot matter @JustJazzmom? Woman LOL Stay inside and hopefully your power won't go out.

The Cape is only supposed to get 3-6 inches but the rest of the state will be hit hard, some areas are getting 2 feet.

It's been a gorgeous day, I was out all day with just a cotton cardigan sweater on and moccasins without socks. Even though we're not going to get the heavy accumulation, we're still going to get high winds. :womanfrustrated:

When you are outside shoveling by yourself, a half a foot is a HUGE difference!
