Thank you I appreciate that, Cody. I am used to be in the minority so that does not bother me. I have been told I travel to the beat of my own drummer.

Wow! Maybe they need blessings to grant additional grace and peace upon them? Maybe to protect them?

Let me tell you something, our daughter has always brought her horse to the blessing of the pets, about 8 years ago, her then horse was blessed and became ill and died within a week of the blessing. We are members of the Catholic church and practice it daily. It was so comforting to our 9 yr old daughter to know that her horse was blessed. You can call it dumb, but it's what we believe and we welcome all of the blessing we can get.

Your post gives the best meaning of the purpose for the blessings of the animals that I have heard this year. Thank you for sharing. I believe too.
