I like the meal. I've shortened the menu - only basics. Not much to clean up or to cook.
Enjoy!

I'd be happy with 20 minutes. My DH is such a quick eater and to top it off, he eats very little. It often takes me 2 hours or more to prepare our meal and 5 minutes for him to finish his. I love to cook, but I find this very frustrating.
---------------------------------------
After hours of cooking and cleaning for one TDay meal, I went on strike!! Between eating quickly and guests rushing to watch football, I just said I quit!!! From that year on, we went out to eat at a very nice hotel! Beautiful atmospere, great food and drink...no muss, no fuss and no clean up! Only issue was no leftovers!!

Hey, h_c!!! Hi!
HAHA ... our neice doesn't like turkey... so that will get a "put-out" look from her. I'm not messing with oyster stuffing this year, although lately the guys have really appreciated it.
We will have a holiday meal from Whole Foods (neice is into the health kick and so am I out of necessity). The three guys -- DH, OLDER BIL, MIDDLE BIL, they will be happy just to be together...they may linger over the meal for companionship.
And for this we are lucky... to be together. Middle BIL is very ill -- he may not be with us much longer. Older BIL's wife (niece's mother) we lost two years ago... and both of them are mourning her loss.

When will I ever learn? Just think... I can picture you sipping your glass contentedly and having it all done! Guess what we are going to do next holiday meal? You guessed it... what you did!

AMEN TO THAT! I usually do everything, with the help of my daughter mostly. DH does all the running around the day before.
This year is different for us. Life gets in the way sometimes. But, we will still enjoy.
I'm finally getting the chance to really enjoy the dog show on NBC!
