I remember my grandmother having one that she would use. It was a Aqua/teal color.

It is so sad that malls are going out all over. So many people just don't care about them or want to shop at them any more. Of course, you have to throw in the safety factor. Never had much worry about this years ago.
@AngelPuppy1 When malls close, a little piece of my heart chips away. I don't understand a lot of today's teens- they just want to take photos of themselves, shop online and stay at home whereas when I was a teen it was all about human interaction, going to the movies, going out with my family or school friends and going to the actual malls or department stores if we wanted to buy things. You are so right, the lack of foot traffic in malls has made them increasingly unsafe since shoplifiting and fights are on the rise within malls. Oh I wish I could turn back time- or buy and refurbish an abandoned mall if I win the lotto!
I really don't know what teens or younger adults do for fun. What do they do? I know even back in the day there was way more stuff to do than just going to malls, I am not implying that, but that was one thing that I did and a lot of us did. I can't imagine that just staying at home and being on your phone day and night would be that fulfilling?? Maybe it is??? I just see from watching the news that so many stores are closing because of violence and safety issues. And violence breaking out in malls has caused a lot of people to fear going there, and with good reason!

@AngelPuppy1 I think that social media and selfies have caused teens to isolate, regress in social skills and become somewhat narcissistic, I was on the bus the other day and a field trip of high schoolers got on and every single one of them stood next to eachother in silence looking at their phones rather than talking to eachother and the only talk I heard was from two teen girls asking for approval from eachother of their selfie photos and then going back to silence
- it felt like a Twilight Zone episode to me
. .
That life can't possibly be fulfilling or stimulating- and to think that all these teens and young adults have phones and they type words through text messages that they could say through a phone call to a person! I even see a decline in social skills in men in their 30's- they prefer to text and don't want to talk on their phones anymore, they don't always check voice messages. Back when I was a kid and teen, my family and I would go out mini golfing, go to museums, go swimming, play in the parks etc- activities that were mentally stimulating and fun! Kids were more fit and active than they are now- I'm seeing so many teens that lack muscle tone or have poor posture from looking at their phones all day. The violence in the malls is on the rise and it causes these malls to have declining sales and safety risks and they eventually close one after another. Something has to be done- more security, stricter punishments for committing shoplifting as a minor or adult. They say someday that malls will become a thing of the past- I hope that doesn't happen anytime soon! Long live the malls! ![]()

I found a green one in my aunts things when we emptied her house. It has a special meaning to me, and will be something for my girls to toss someday.

My husband is the person you don't want to be behind at the grocery store fidgeting with exact change from his pocket. I'm leaving if he pulls one of those thingsthat out!🤣

Me too! The savings and loan where we banked had their name on it. When I went there with my mom a nice man would often come out of his office and give me one or two. I can still picture them - blue with white writing/logo.

It's a nice memory isn't it?💝. I need to bring these up to my bank to see if they can get some lol. Where I bank is still one of the few that still give its customers neat things whenever they get them in. I got a couple big calendars, nice rain gauges and some fridge magnets with the next years ball schedule on them last time.😃

I might order the set on Amazon.....just to attach to my crossbody purses or f*nny waist packs.
Just to carry a couple/few tissues, just in case I might need a tissue while out and about, shopping, etc.
Lots of fun color combinations.
I posted the info on another post here.
I'm not near my notes, btw.
