Yes!  A coin purse.  Actually, very handy for keeping change, including dimes and quarters for phone booths, etc.

Anyone remember phone booths?  Seems like a hundred years ago.

Back in the day you needed coins for quite a few things. That was back when coins could purchase quite a few things also!  Not like today!  Oh, yes, I totally remember phone booths.  We had no cell phones back in the day.  If you went some place, if you wanted to let someone know where you were or that you had arrived, you hopefully found a phone booth.  Or --- if you were in trouble -- car broke down, etc.  Also, there were rows of pay phones at the malls, so you could check in with people or finalize meeting plans and times.  Malls-- people ask --- what are Malls?  Feeling so old ----- Oh, my goodness!

@AngelPuppy1  As you know, I absolutely love malls Smiley Very Happy! Malls are my happy place- give me a good food court and mall lay out with some tinny sounding music from the mall loudspeakers and I am a happy shopper! Smiley Very HappyHeart

I also enjoy malls.  Unfortunately bookstores are no longer available in malls.  I used to enjoy browsing in the bookstores when I was younger.  Now they are gone. Sigh.

LOL, are you kidding?  Only one jolly rancher is never enough for me at once!  I've been known to throw in 3, often none of which are the same flavor.😂

@lgfan  Yes- its such a shame that book stores are declining in malls and as freestanding stores.  I loved to go to the cookbook sections and look at the photos in the  books! Smiley Happy

@cheriere  Oh yeah! We're Jolly Rancher pros - sometimes I eat 3 to 4 at a time so that I can make my own Jolly Rancher fruit punch flavor Smiley Very Happy

It is so sad that malls are going out all over.  So many people just don't care about them or want to shop at them any more.  Of course, you have to throw in the safety factor.  Never had much worry about this years ago.

Yes, the bookstores were a big draw for me as well.  I could spend easily an hour or so in one!

@AngelPuppy1  When malls close, a little piece of my heart chips away. I don't understand a lot of today's teens- they just want to take photos of themselves, shop online and stay at home whereas when I was a teen it was all about human interaction, going to the movies, going out with my family or school friends and going to the actual malls or department stores if we wanted to buy things.  You are so right, the lack of foot traffic in malls has made them increasingly unsafe since shoplifiting and fights are on the rise within malls.  Oh I wish I could turn back time- or buy and refurbish an abandoned mall if I win the lotto! Smiley Very Happy
