Black Friday equals annoyance to me.

Not shopping online and people so aggressive and rude here (Chicagoland) that I skip it altogether.

I enjoy Black Friday. I just don't get up at the crack of dawn when I do go, and since I don't need those things a lot of people go nuts for, there's no rush. But my stepdad wants to get some gifts for his granddaughter. My mom took care of shopping but she's passed and I told him I'd help him pick some things out. We have a list and we know some stores to go to.

Make a plan, who you are buying for, how much you want to spend,

if anybody wants a certain item, stores you shop with the best prices

after you scan all the ads.

Time consuming but worth it. The few big things I plan on getting I

will be hopefully buying online instead of going out Thanksgiving night.

I always get a new vacuum each year. I have rugs on 2 floors plus

my basement to clean. This year I am just going for a Dyson cordless

around $249 at Kohls with $75 Kohls cash, hopefully a good one and

I will like.

Not heading out to stores but a couple of online stores I may browse. Macys is offering 10% back on Mr Rebates.

Last year I picked up two quilts at PB two weeks before black friday. Black friday pricing at PB was nothing special.

I brought a Fire tablet from Amazon and got a good price. I found a jacket and some winter hats at Landsend.

I love Black Friday shopping.  This is the first year, in over 40 years, that my sister and I won't be spending the day shopping.  She went to Europe for Thanksgiving, so I'm on my own for Black Friday.

I don't know what they call shopping discounts on Thanksgiving, need a catchy name, but I woke up this morning to many emails advertising sales, including one that I planned to shop from.  I just was going to do it tomorrow.

So I placed my order this morning and got 30% off.  Also placed an order from another site, also 30% off.  Free shipping at both.

I do plan to go out tomorrow and will stay local instead of going over toward the mall.

A local gift shop is doing 40% off their entire store until 10:00 AM so I'll go in there.

I also plan to go to Target early and take my husband with me.  If they do it again this year, I want to get their 20% off total sale (future puchase) so I have to be through checkout by 10:00 AM.

Why is it, when I have a 50/50 guess at something, I'm always 100% wrong?

Just ventured out to shop as have been in kitchen all day. Walmart was a zoo filled with carts piled high. I picked up an Instapot as a gift, few movies, kids underwear for church collections, and that’s it. The tv‘s were in practically every cart! I could not get out fast enough. Target busy too but door buster car seat gone an hour into opening, Poor employees- but they all appeared in good spirits. Clearly a new name needed to specify thanksgiving shopping.

I was bored so ventured out to Kohl's.  Surprised not as bad as I thought.  I didn't buy anything but maybe tomorrow I'll go in the evening.

Then went over to WM.  Bought a loaf of bread! Store was busy but not insane like I assumed it would be.  In our paper today tons of ads but no WM - I wonder if they did online flyer vs paper one.

I did shop online today.
