Hi Everyone! The weather this week has been wonderful, sunny and slightly warm, but cool nights. This weekend, though, is supposed to be hot again, and DD has a Drill Team competition both days, Saturday for practicing, and Sunday for the show. She has to be at the barn at 5:30, g r o a n. They load the horses, and then all go to the Horse Park close by. She doesn't show until 9:15, and then again at 11:00.

Yesterday, while out running errands, I heard so many of my favorite songs, songs I don't hear often, and suddenly it dawned on me what I want for Christmas. I told DD I wanted an ipod with my favorite songs. When we got home, I went to my "new" computer, and looked them up. Well, it was all I could do to break myself away from this to prepare dinner, and then I was right back to it. I got in my upper body exercise at the computer, dancing in my chair,{#emotions_dlg.laugh}, and had a ball! On the old computer, I could never watch you tube, or anything for that matter, and I had no audio. This is great! I couldn't sleep well last night, and I think it was because I was all wound up. Don't exercise before bed, lol.

The baby birds are gone now, so fast I didn't realize it until it dawned on me that there was no loud peeping every few hours. My Salvias are blooming, so there are plenty of hummers around. There are so many lizards, newts, and what have you, darting around, startling me, but they keep my plants very healthy. I have a totally organic garden, so to speak, no pesticides, just water.

I can't believe it is August, and I can't believe that the actual work on my remodeling project still hasn't begun, as I was told it would in June, but there were delays due to issues being ironed out Hopefully, the permit will be applied for next week, and then who knows when work actually begins, which means that it will be going on through Christmas, which upsets me.

The pups are wild and crazy, especially the girl who is a holy terror, I say terrier, and the way she goes after Remmy, makes him yelp in pain. The other day, as I was grooming her on a chair, I was having trouble with her ears, then saw that Remmy had a hold of one ear and was tugging at it, lol. On Tuesday, I saw that Remmy had dug a large hole under the cot, and yesterday, when I looked out of the window to check on them, he was sleeping in the hole, lol! They bring tons of laughs to us, and more exercise as they charge around, with us charging after them.

Possumm - I have been over the Poison Oak for months, but I have a remembrance of it on my leg. I scratched so hard on the front of my thigh above my knee, that I now have spider veins.

Wishing everyone a happy weekend.
