I think people are free to take those risks for themselves. It might not make much sense to us but it's their choice.

I wonder if they are told that breast or ovarian cancer are possibilities down the road.

I doubt it...

.

Why is it, when I have a 50/50 guess at something, I'm always 100% wrong?

I don't think we're delving into their private lives when they have a weekly show about their private lives. I hate reality shows, stumbled on this by accident, wondering who they were and got hooked. I know it's scripted probably. But it's interesting and I believe they are both good people. I also think she is unsure of her future and wants to try and have another baby-but could she manage it? I don't know. How many embryos do they have left I wonder.

I believe they now have one embryo left.

I wonder if the people who decry unnatural fertility efforts feel the same way about men who take Viagra. If he is doing it just for fun is it bad but if he is trying to conceive a child it's OK? What does the Catholic church say about this? How do you feel about insurance companies covering Viagra?

Or birth control for that matter. Shouldn't people just keep having child after child with no stopping until nature says so... that is gods plan afterall, right?

Hi Cran! That's what the 'Rhythm' method is for. Not that it always works. {#emotions_dlg.mellow}

Some people don't know the meaning of the word abstinence. Once you find out what causes pregnancy, you just don't do that anymore-you just have to figure out when.

What about women who have been told that their life is at risk if they have another child? Wouldn't using the rhythm method be like playing Russian roulette? The fact is that the vast majority of Catholics in this country have used conventional birth control.

Absolutely. That's been true over at least the last 50-60 yrs.

It's interesting how the Church deals with it. While Rome may say one thing about birth control, most local clergy say it's a private matter between husband & wife.

That is a shame. They seem like a truly decent couple and people.

My daughters good friend who was due a month later than my daughter just lost her baby, placenta abruptia I think it is called. They are devastated. They also would have made wonderful parents and could have given the child a good life both with love, morals and were financially stable. You hear all these stories of people who have kids they should not and end up doing irreparable damage and then people who truly want one and can take great care of them who can't. Isn't really fair.
