I know that shipping charges have been discussed many times on the boards, so I suppose this a combination of a vent and a warning for those who may not have read other threads. I recently purchased a pair of $99 Mark Fisher booties, the shipping was $5.00. Today I was looking at a pair of Earth booties that are $149, the shipping is $12.22! Nice booties but I didn't consider them for long with that kind of shipping charge. I remember when Q changed the policy to $3.00 shipping on clothing and $5.00 shipping on shoes, but they didn't bother to notify us when the policy changed to charging whatever they want for shipping, like they used to. It's their perogoative, as it is mine to shop elsewhere, I just want to help shoppers be aware before they click the "buy" button: Review everything carefully before you click Submit!!!!

I don't ever remember QVC changing the policy to $5.00 s/h on all shoes. I always remember some shoes having a very high s/h charge, just like handbags.
I was watching a little of the Earth presentation today and they were selling a pair of tennis shoes with a s/h charge of $10.22. Earth can be bought at other places so if I see something I really want, I check elsewhere.

Well Sundance still has everyone beat with their charges. Shoes are heavy ,and boots even more so. It doesn't surprise me they charge that. If you have a hard time finding shoes, it is well worth it

Hi LipstickDiva!! It's been a year or so ago (maybe longer, I lose track of time!) Q made a big deal of changing to flat rate shipping for clothing, shoes, and I think, handbags (not sure about the handbags part). That's the same time it changed from thier policy of offering half-off shipping for additions of the same item added in the same order, so if you bought six of the same shirts, you would pay $3.00 shipping on each instead of paying full price shipping on the first and half-price shipping on each additional.
ITA about purchasing Earth elsewhere, I love some of their items, just won't purchase them from the Q.
Edited to add: They have not returned to the "buy more than one , save on shipping" policy, they've just increased the shipping charges.

i remember when they switched the shipping fees to $3 for clothing, but dont believe that applied to handbags or shoes.
i believe that was over two years ago. all bets are off now.

Shipping Costs are high & if you return the item the shipping costs are really high. You are out a lot of money. IMO it's like throwing money in the trash.

Also, they are raising prices on items. Four items in my Wish list have gone up by three dollars each. I now ONLY buy Linea because I know the fit. I get shoes elswhere. The last time I bought Isaac's flats the left shoe was bigger than the right.
We are smart consumers. The Q should be aware that we now have the whole internet to shop from.

I remember they changed it to $5.00 for shoes, only because I love shoes! LOL But you are soooo right "all bets are off now", that sums it up perfectly!!!! ![]()

My recollection is: $3.00 for certain items (like clothes), and I vaguely remember some catagory that was to be $5, and also a provision for higher shipping on merchandise priced beyond a certain level. I can't remember what the limit is/was. Seems to me it has to do with insurance.

@lavendar....that's exactly why I usually only purchase D&C clothing. I know they will fit. Have returned very few items to them that have been D&C.
Yes, they have gotten pretty expensive to buy clothing recently. And guess they will continue to raise the prices. We need to be careful in what we purchase now.
