That only solves part of the problem and you simply cannot rely on those alone.

Computer viruses are like human viruses - they change and mutate. That's why you always have to update your antiviral software - because new viruses are always being created.

 

Do not think of anti-virus software as a guarantee that you can't get a virus, think of it more like a flu shot - they're using what data they can to predict and address which virus will likely be out there to get you, but that doesn't mean you are inoculated against everything.

 

You must always be vigilant because your anti-virus and malware software responds to known viruses and programs,  but those programs are being updated and mutated all the time.

      ....and who clicks on unkown garbage sites?  When they pop up, you always know what they are.


Ever have a teenager ? LOL


 

 

      Two and that's why hubby and I never did anything that mattered on the family room computer.  No bill paying, no taxes, nothing that required financial informarion or sensitive information.  We didn't know what was lurking on that computer with all the music sharing and  and chatting and whatever that they did.
