As a frequent Ebay buyer I joined PP in 2004 and still going strong, thank goodness, no issues. I have an 800 number for them and talk to a live rep when needed.  I use my CC on there and I use it checkout from other sites, not just Ebay. I dont use services like Venmo or Zelle, and if I am due a credit from PP,  I get it very promptly, no issues there either.

If you are a frequent Ebay buyer PP is a must to pay the various sellers, and there some that only take PP.

When I shop on eBay I use an eBay gift card. So far it's been accepted by every seller with no problem.

for many years i have found that paypal is the safest and easiest way to send and receive payments or cash. if it is offered on a site, i generally use it to pay. they also offer a paypal cashback credit card, debit card, pay in four plans, and other optional payment choices.

i love it at night when i see something i want. i dont have to get up to go and get a credit card.....i just plug in my paypal information and my transaction is done. it is quite simple.

i also like the protection it gives on purchases gone wrong and purchases not received, especially if the seller or company is a poor communicator OR if they are outside of the country.

had to laugh at @LavernLuvsShoes comment regarding a secret stash/bank account.....YES, its that also! Smiley Wink

Like others I have had a PayPal account for decades, with no problem.  I've even used it for purchases in other countries.

I also use the two-step security.  No matter which retailer I purchase from, PayPal sends a secure code to my cell phone and until I plug that in, no purchases go through.

It's easy, makes everything even more secure and I highly recommend it.  No one else can receive your security code but you.

@Tinkrbl44  I have never been able to actually talk to a human. Everything on the site is through Chat (with an AI Bot) or through email. I couldn't find a contact phone number to save my life. That's why I am closing down PayPal.

Not a fan of PayPal. We use Venmo.

@zitawins

What???    I just went to paypal.com and went down to the bottom and clicked on Security.

There were several options, but Call Us is one of them.  There was the phone number and a code number attached to my account, so they can quickly identify me and my account when they answer.  The code # lasts for 10 minutes.

BTW ... The phone number is 1-888-221-1161.

@Tinkrbl44 - Funny how you could find that CS number for PayPal, isn't it?

I've never had an issue contacting them either.  Especially when they used to do the free return shipping.  I always got an email response from my claims.  From a person, not an AI bot.
