Re: Beware if your AAA company has switched to Comenity Bank….

Every time I've opened this thread, I keep thinking it's referring to your AAA membership.

I have Comenity for my Talbots and J Jill cards. I haven't had any issues...yet.

Why is it, when I have a 50/50 guess at something, I'm always 100% wrong?

It seems its time to find another road service company. There are many out there.

@Sooner

So sorry you went through that turmoil. After 8 months I finally wrote to the CEO of the retail store where I had bought some sweaters in December and fully paid the bill in January. Money wasn't posted by the bank until late February.

I believe the Attorney General should be looking into this behavior which is contrary to lawful banking practices.

@phoenixbrd

For years AAA credit card was processed by Bank of America with no problems. Customer service on the card went smoothly. This transfer to Comenity is the nightmare and parallels exactly what occurred with the retail store I had a problem with thanks to Comenity's processing.

For sure, the Visa company we have dealt with will get additional usage !

@jlkzwrote:

Recently ( Nov ), AAA outsourced its credit card processing to Comenity Bank. Both DH and I were concerned because it had just taken me almost 8 months to get late charges removed. Finally took a letter to the Executive Chair CEO along with the detailed letter sent to Comenity to show how their customers were being treated or " mistreated. " Problem fixed.

****

Now with the second credit card bill from Comenity / AAA, we see they are starting the same nonsense again. Check sent on 11/9 but not posted by them until 11/20: $25 late charge.

****

Go over your monthly statement very carefully....

Same thing, here. That bank and Synchrony always charged for being late (never late).

@jlkzThe Attorney General and/or the banking commission. I never ever experienced anything like it and all of those saying "pay it" well--what if you can't? Don't think it can't happen either.

I will be surprised if something doesn't happen at some point. Me? I am too old and have far bigger issues than to fight that battle but I am very careful about if I buy anything on that card and how and when it is paid. I lost at least $75 last summer.

They also did not credit one check I sent for weeks and weeks. I cancelled the check finally--and got charged for a returned check from a couple of days later! Another $30 plus to cancel the check.

And for all of the "why didn't you or don't you" we aren't stupid and no it wasn't because of anything we as customers did or didn't do or try.

That's because you use snail mail. Pay online and you won't have this problem.
