I always do that with romaine or leaf lettuce...each individual leaf, gently rubbing it under cold water, then putting it through the salad spinner.

If you have a membership buy at Costco. They were called and their source if OK

I had a bag of romaine from Dole a few weeks ago. I called their customer service number and they had a recording saying none of their product comes from the Yuma, Arizona growing area where the tainted romaine is supposedly from. I did eat it and had no problems.
