Thank you for sharing with us! Best wishes for a long and happy life together. Rescue is our favorite breed. We are fortunate to have just adopted a doxie whose home had burned. So appreciate your sharing his pics, so handsome!

Why is it that even on Christmas Eve some have to pick, give opinions that have nothing to do with the thread, and try to turn what should be a happy for you thread into controversy?
Thank you! He also has the jowls of a boxer and hound. I'm taking my Vet's word (and knowledge) regarding his breed.
I have a granddaughter who is a Pit, so I'm familiar with that breed too.
Heck, he could be part rhinocerous and I wouldn't care.....I LOVE HIM!

Thank you!
He was rescued from a high kill facility and because of the expense of treating the burns on his back, he was scheduled to be killed, rather than even attempt to find him a home.

What a beautiful and lucky dog. Rescues have been some of my best dogs over the years.

Thank you for giving Landon his"forever" home. Stories like this always make a better day for me. I just wish I woukd see nany more of them.

Most people think Boxers are Pits. The shape of their faces confuses them. He looks like a Boxer to me, and I'd take the word of the vet any day. My niece has several Pits.

What a sweet and beautiful animal. And so very lucky you have come into his life! Bless you!
We lost our rescued dog Grady this fall, from cancer. and I just can't bring myself to embrace another one yet. We still have two rescued kitties, and that will have to be enough for now.
A very Merry Christmas to you and that beautiful new boy.
I'm so sorry for your loss of Grady. I understand how you feel, you need time to grieve.
It's been 4 & 5 years since we lost our last dogs and we needed to wait until the right time and the right dog came along.
Merry Christmas to you and your family also, including your kitties!
