@KingstonsMom  He's a very handsome devil,  IG.   He many be a big love,  but I bet his appearance would cause a burglar  to reconsider.  I bet no one bothers you when you're out walking him either.

Re: Best present ever! Meet my Rescue!

IG and Kachina, bless you both for taking these beautiful dogs into your homes.  I hope that they will bring you years of joy.  Kingston is a very handsome, impressive boy.  That Misty could melt anyone's heart.  Both are adorable.  Thank you for rescuing these dogs.  I would do the same if I could but I can only have cats where I am currently.  Hope to be able to have dogs at some point in the future.  For now I have a cat that I have rescued.  The other cat I rescued who was the love of my life died prematurely several years ago.  I still mourn his passing.

Until we get a chance to take some photos to post, here's a link to his page on the Rescue's site.

They were callng him Landon, but we're calling him Kingston. You'll notice some burns on his back in a couple of his pics, but those are healing up nicely!

Sure didn't get much sleep last night, though!

55 lbs. of love and tongue made sure of that, LOL!

Re: Best present ever! Meet my Rescue!

 Does it really matter what breed the dog is?  I have adopted so many dogs in my life, I have lost count.  I do know one of the best dogs I have ever had was a Pitt Bull.  She was the sweetest dog in the world.  Our Vet has 5 of them, so that will tell you they are great dogs if raised correctly.  As far as guessing breeds, I currently have a few dogs.  One came out of the birth canal of a POODLE but he looks like a horse.  Yes, the Vet can due blood work to tell us what breed is mixed with the Poodle but do I really care?  Heck no.  I see absolutely NO poodle in him but I do see the love he gives me and everyone he meets constantly and that is all that counts.   My home is filled at this time with rescues, but I would take a Pitt in a NY minute if I had room for another dog.  Truth of the matter is I grew up with my parents owning Poodles and they were much more aggressive when they aged than our Pitt ever was.  I never meet a breed of dog I did not love.  Now if I only had the talents of The Dog Whisperer.  He amazes me.

@Kachina624

Thank you and so true! And his bark is so loud and threatening, I would think twice too!

Last night, he decided he wanted to sleep in the bed with me....by early morning, he'd almost pushed me out of bed, trying to get as close as he could to my back.

He won.....I took the couch....LOL!

Re: Best present ever! Meet my Rescue!

Thanks everyone!

Update on Kingston. He's such a good boy, we're more in love with him everyday!

The only thing is that his Foster mom confessed after the adoption that he really isn't crate trained and hates it, which is fine with me.

I've never crated any of my pets.

BUT.......he's a total bed hog, LOL!

He just can't get close enough to you, but it's so sweet.....we spooned all night last night, LOL!
