Best mail order cookies?

[ Edited ]

I want to send cookies to an elderly friend, and would appreciate recommendations for a really good cookie.

I'm not a sweets eater, so have no idea.

I know QVC sells Cheryl's, but if anyone has personal experience with a better brand, I would appreciate it.  Mrs. Fields offers a smallish cookie, and I'd like them individually wrapped.

In reading reviews for Cheryl's, many said they arrived broken.  That's not good.

Thanks in advance.

Re: Best mail order cookies?

I have only ordered Cheryl's Cookies.  I love the butter cream frosted holiday cookies.  My sister sent a box of mixed cookies from Cheryl's when I was visiting my daughter and her family.  I tried one of each of the various types and found that butter cream frosted cookies are my fav.  However, I noticed the grandkids (teens) all had different favs and left the butter creams for me.  If you can't eat all the cookies in a few days, instructions say to freeze them.  I stick them in the freezer and just pull out one or two as I need them.

If your elderly friend is on a special diet (low sugar, low fat,low salt) sometimes food is not a good idea.

I highly recommend Byrd's Famous Cookies here in Savannah, GA.

They ship worldwide and have great reviews.

They also are on FB, TripAdvisor, for more reviews.

ETA: They also sell some great savory treats as well (cheese straws, etc.)

A good point, but she isn't restricted and loved the Sees candy I recently sent.

I have sent Cheryl's gift packs and never had a problem.

We sent Halloween goodies and watched it being opened ... nothing broken. There were cookies and iced pretzels in the order.

I use "Groupon" because they seem to always have a half-priced Cheryl's deal! It is a great value.

How nice you are sending her some sweets!

It's a long story, but this woman is one in a million.

She and I have exchanged letters since I was 19!  I'm now 69 and she is 97!

We used to exchange gifts, but she is now in assisted living and I send things she can share with guests and friends.

What a beautiful friendship!

And this is very thoughtful of you to send her something she can share!

I will bet that makes her feel like the "Belle of the Ball!"
