Re: Best Cordless Stick Vacuums

Hi @MamaWick ,

Never used a cordless "vacuum(unless you count Roomba)". For simple cleaning like cat litter and dry spills, the Swivel Sweeper works just fine for my cleaning. Just not really a "vacuum".

Re: Best Cordless Stick Vacuums

Just got the Dyson V8 Animal on sale Black Friday at Kohls. Also $75 Kohls

cash. Lowe's had it for the same price, of course no additonal store cash

offer.

Just charged it yesterday afternoon and gave it a try last night. Hope it

lasts a long time, did a good job with one room so far.

@Foxxee yes, I have done that and read reviews, too.  Just thought I would ask here for opinions/experiences from the Q crowd.

Another thing I suggest you look at.  Do you want it to be your main vacuum?  You noticed, then, those websites only recommend cordless sticks for light cleaning.

I own the Dyson v7 Motorhead. I gave away my heavy Dyson (I have had it with lugging around heavy items) and use this Motorhead exclusively for my two-story house. The battery lasts throughout my vacuuming (the entire house) on the lower setting -- it has never run out of battery. My DS has the Dyson v7 Animal, and he is very happy with his, too. The Motorhead was purchased at Walmart and the Animal from Costco. I highly recommend.

Love my Dyson V8 and use it all the time to clean my whole house.  It's so light weight and easy to use.  It saves my back.  I find that you don't have to run it at high suction to get things clean.  So, I can do my whole house on one charge.

I own and love the Electrolux!  I actually tried the Dyson years ago when they first came out with the stick vacuum but you have to hold the button down the entire time and I have trouble with the grip in my hands.  It's convenient enough and did a good job and the button is where you hold it but for me unless the turn on switch slides and locks on, I'm out of luck so had to send it back.  It was about a year later QVC had my little Electrolux.  Absolutely love it, does a great job.

Thanks all...

I have a friend who works for Dyson and he has given me a 40% off coupon, but still wanted opinions.

Oh...and our house is small, no carpet, and just a few throw rugs.
