I agree @manny2 with the Aldi chocs. Since Aldi is a German-based store, they know great chocolates. We've had some of the ones sold at Aldi's, Belgiun/German brands are very good, rich and creamy.

My all time favorite is See's Dark Chocolate Covered Almond Clusters.
Even though it might be a coincidence, we know of many who lived to be in their late nineties to 100 who loved dark chocolate and almonds. Separately and/or combined.

@Bettyanne a suggestion for you is to get her a selection of international gourmet chocolate bars. I found bar and cocoa dot com which sells chocolate from Norway and other places. A friend brought me some after her trip and it was so good that found it online. It's pricy but a great treat to try flavors and artisan chocolate that is different from our offerings in the US. Good luck finding the perfect gift for her!

@NEvans2 wrote:I am a huge chocaholic! Someone here suggested See's , which is excellent. I also highly recommend Betsey Ann chocolates and Sarris chocolates. I don't know if the last two are available nationwide or just in the PA area. I'm sure they both have websites.
I have to say I'm not a huge fan of Godiva. I find it kind of waxy and I like my chocolate more creamy.❤
Yes, I think I read Godiva was bought out 🤷🏻♀️ but the great quality it once had is GONE! I buy Sees and from my town local chocolatier - delicious!!! Hey they have the same calories so why not get the best!

@deepwaterdotter You can with me! I love chocolate but Godiva is my least favorite. I usually give it away when I get it as a gift.

@RNbynite wrote:@Bettyanne .....Believe it or not, Aldi has delicious chocolate.....imported from Belgium/Germany. Great prices and sooooo smooth, creamy and as good as more expensive brands.
So, I was just sitting down to enjoy a bite (or 2 or 3!!) of this chocolate, and thought I'd see if there was a thread on favorite chocolate brands. And so here I am. This chocolate bar is only $1.99, and it is so smooth, creamy, and delicious!
I used to love Cadbury before Hershey bought them out and starting cheapening up the brand.
Another fantastic chocolate--Bakers Candies--can be found in Nebraska. Their meltaways are superb! And they ship when the weather permits.

Waggoner's Chocolate that sold on Shop HQ is delicious! Sells on Amazon.

Dove choc with caramel is my favorite. No biting down on hard almonds, etc . to break off a tooth. I want just smooth and creamy.
Unfortunately, now, I'm just eating plums, grapes, peaches, bananas suppose to help with osteoporosis
Taking a Andrew Lessman Cruciferous Greens pill, also.
Can't go Kale, cabbage, brussel sprouts, broccoli. Gotta get some vegetables in me just taking his pill
