Berry College Eagles laid first egg yesterday (1/7)

[ Edited ]

The time goes by so fast.  Not sure if I will watch like I did last year. Too many heart stopping moments.   I had no idea of the perils eaglets face - from inception to fledge, and after - until I watched from beginning to end.

Careful!  These bird cams are addictive!  I started tuning in last year and suddenly I was watching bird nests all over the country.  Thanks for allowing me to add this one to my list!

The Berry College eagles also have a Facebook page:

You don't need to join Facebook to read it.

@ Montana

Thanks for posting this.  Another forum friend let me know Ma laid an egg (on another thread).  I just checked the cams on Monday and there was nothing to report.  Watching the Berry cam is the only time of the year I bite my nails, especially when it gets windy and the weather is rocky.

There are many elements: wind, fire, water
But none quite like the element of surprise

A viewer captured Mom calling out to Dad when an intruder got near to the nest.  (There is a facebook portion of the page).  She sounds so pitiful as she cries out - Dad took care of it, of course :-)

Egg #2 arrived today (1/10). There were two last year too.
