So  let me get this straight: The few of you who seem to think that the responsibility is on those who were scammed because they should have known it was too good to be true?

Unbelievable. Who are you who can read minds? And even it they should have been suspicious, they are are still not culpable here. Their mindset is totally irrelevant.

@suzyQ3   If they were suspicious and invested with him anyway, they are not only culpable, they are stupid. And their “mindset” is relevant. It’s called personal responsibility.

 @Sushismom ,

     ".... yes I know".....

@NAES1

Then I'm not sure why you wrote this: "...chronic kidney failure is determined at stage 4-end of life..."

Again, ESKD is stage 5 and not 4. I know this since I'm stage 5 and on dialysis.

    I am sorry to hear @Sushismom , you are challenged with even being on kidney dialysis. My best to you, always. Smiley Happy

@NAES1

Dialysis is a pain in the butt. However, I prefer to live a little longer so I do it. Thankfully, it's just twice a week for me and not 3 times. But sitting still for 3 hours is hard to do when you know you can't just get up whenever you want to!

Thanks for the kind thoughts. Smiley Happy

Maybe if he would dig up all the stashed cash and pay back all his victims I would be for letting him die at home.  Short of that, he's right where he belongs.

Compassionate Relief - no compassion was given to his victims so Imho none should be awarded to him.

@esmereldaCriminal sentencing is unfair in this country in general, because of lack of uniformity.
A person can be put to death in a state that still has the death penalty, but cannot be if the person commits the very same crime in a state w/out the death penalty.

IMO Bernie should serve the sentence he was given for his crimes whether or not a person thinks it unfair that some murderers serve less time. Judge Judy has said "if you don't want to go to jail, don't be a criminal."
I agree.

I'm sure there are others in prison with the same problem.  Do we let them out?  Probably not because they can't afford lawyers.

H@ll NO! That is what being sentenced to 150 years in prison is for. So you die in prison. You do the crime, you do the time.
