I wonder if Miss Piggy was created as an homage to Ms. Rivers way back when. That thought crossed my mind in recent days after Ms. Rivers passing.

Oh my gosh Croemer. That was so much fun! In watching it, I saw several other clips available. Joan and Lucy, Joan and the practical Joke from Johnny...where he sets it up for her to be scolded by a Lady Thatcher impersonater. And the last one I watched, Joan telling Oprah to lose weight!!!

Miss Piggy's character was loosely based on Loretta Swits' Hot Lips Houlihan, MASH.

Thanks Kaybee, but to me, seeing Hot Lips Houlihan --- I think it is really really loosely based. I think Miss Piggy is more Rivers than Swit.

At several points in these video's I could see a real resemblance to Joan...I am with you.
