Re: Before and After - Gardening

Great improvement!

And I hear you about getting into something and wondering why you ever started! Did that with mulching my beds this week. It gets to be a bigger and harder job with each passing year.

But the finished product always seems to make it worth it in the long run.

Your new space looks great!

@qvcfreak

Really pretty! Thanks for showing us what an improvement you made.

Also wanted to say how beautiful the sky looks in your last pic. I know you didn't have anything to do with that (lol) but what a lovely backdrop for your hard work!

The big plant with the pinkish flowers @shoekitty  is called Corona de Cristo (Crown of Christ) it has huge thorns which is where its name is derived from.

Added some of my garden stuff from around the yard.

@qvcfreak A corner is a nice place to start. Now that you've done two, do you think over time they might meet in the middle?

It’s an idea @esmerelda but there is a huge separation between the two.

Re: Before and After - Gardening

Nice job!  Amazing what a little weed pulling and a bag of mulch can do.

I'd plant eveything in the ground so it's not rootbound in the pots and thirstier as the summer months close in.  Get them established now.

I believe in keeping it simple (don't gild the lily).  Just a speck of color.

Re: Before and After - Gardening

Completed last corner. Here I can’t dig because of the cables running underneath.
