@sidsmom I don't like beets...just never got used to the taste and so was considering trying the powder. Thanks for the info. Everything in moderation is my mantra.

I love roasted beets and we make them occasionally.  I have thought about getting beet powder to put in smoothies but never did.  I had heard it's supposed to be good for hypertension.

I use a half teaspoon organic beetroot powder, grown in usa in my smoothie.  If you want to talk danger of beet root powder, it is not in eating it....but in SPILLING the powder on your ivory tiles counter, with grout!,,😡😣🙀😭.  

 

Fresh and organic is always best.  But a little powdered organic veggie is a good thing.  You have to watch where anything is grown, imo!!  Root veggies grow in the earth, and require fertilizer in soil to grow.  If the earth is bad, or contaminated,the veggie will be too!

My DH tried the beet root powder once and didn't sleep all night. I think he'll just stick with beets from now on. Love 'em.

We put sliced pickled beets in our salad with dinner, delish!!
