A large library in Detroit became infested with them. It was an area where homeless came in to rest, or read, or get warm. They had a hard time getting it cleasened, because of all the books, and the fact it was an ongoing re-infestation. I think they had to close it, and tent it to get rid of the bugs

Omg...what a horrible ordeal...hope to never bring those bugs home. That is expensive to treat too.

I do not travel mostly because of my fear ofbed bugs and the risk of bringing them home. Not worth it!

Huge mistake. They battled bed bugs for a year before the house was sealed, super heated and bombed with poison.
The Stuff of Nightmares!
Indeed! We brought them home with us from a trip to New York about 6 years ago. Our in home battle lasted at least a year -- and we continued to have our house treated for nearly 2 years. It also cost us several thousand dollars as we replaced several beds, all bedding, etc.
