Did you know there was a bedbugregistry.com?  I heard about this on our local talk radio and went to the site and looked up some motels that I have stayed at.  Fortunately, there were no reports from any of them.

yes, I came across it when looking for housing in another state. I was surprised how widespread a problem they are.

Re: Bed Bug Registry

[ Edited ]

Happened to my daughter and me, 2004-Holiday Inn, Fort Lauderdale.  Her neck was covered with puzzling bites in the morning; had to go to the drugstore for remedy.  Felt something 3am the night before.  Turned on the lights and the pillow area was alive!!  The maintenance man said that they were palmettos!  They upgraded our room.  What did I know?  Never knew anything about bedbugs, which they were!  Came home to find out someone won a multi multi million dollar settlement for such occurrence!

Yes. I try to remember to check it before I book a hotel.

Thanks! Never heard of it. But, isn't any hotel/motel just one bug-infested traveler away from infestation? I don't stay in hotels often because I don't travel that much, but will be more vigilant going forward.

One bedbug emerged from the book bag of a special ed student next to whom I was sitting.  Recognized it from my hotel experience.  See above.  They are more slow than roaches......

Sounds like something bedbugs do when they get married.....  (You know, so their guests know where to shop....)
