@Kachina624 Stunning and full of meaning.

Some art pieces are evocative and I think this is one.

In the recent unprecedented growth in our capital city of ~500,000 (Halifax, Nova Scotia) we complain about it a lot (traffic, cranes everywhere, construction, etc) but one thing the city has done extremely well is a waterfront boardwalk that runs for miles.  All along the boardwalk are art pieces that celebrate our maritime history.  Some of them are especially beautiful.  We are a favorite stopping place for cruise ships and this is a wonderful way to welcome them.

Thanks for posting Kachina.  This one is special.

@Lilysmom1.  I had no idea Halifax was that big.  I'd always envisioned it as a sleepy fishing village.  It must be about the size of Albuquerque and not sleepy.

@Kachina624 No, not a sleepy fishing village but you don't have to drive far anywhere in Nova Scotia to find one.  I live in a ribbon of small communities on the way to Peggy's Cove.  I am 20 minutes from downtown and a half hour from Peggy's Cove.  The best of both worlds.

beautiful sculpture,  the colors of the rainbow 🌈 a very sad story I've heard of  trail of tears before .   My paternal great , great grandmother was part Indian , Mohawk Indian .   My grandmother had told me many stories when I was young passed down to her .

the way American Indians were treated is appalling.  They are the only actual true Americans everyone else  came here from other countries originally.
