My son says that we are all tracked and much data is sold because we take our cell phones everywhere we go...they could even be listening.

If something is too good to be true, it’s too good to be true. In a year’s time they will be giving Alexa’s away for free. They’ll get a return on their money.

DH and I personally have no interest using these new devices, but be careful of your privacy. Keep in mind, as technology expands into every aspect of your life, the less privacy you will actually have.

@Susan Louise  Thank you for trying to be helpful.  I made a similar comment a couple of years ago about these devices (people working behind the scenes) being able to listen and was subjected to the same ridicule.  Don't let it get to you.

I don't see it as ridicule.  I just see it as joking.

There's no doubt that the OP was trying to be helpful.  Everyone makes their own choices, and for many, moderation with technology works best.  But it's always good to be informed.
