Id dial a cop instead of a criminal ANY day. Wouldn't you?

My old hometown just had a huge support your police rally. I was glad to read about it online via my old hometown news paper, and see how many showed up to support police and talk about any issues and differences so nothing happens like happened in other areas.

Actually, it was determined forensically that he was not choked to death but was a victim of compression by a number of police on his chest. Of course this was brutal and should not have happened. The context was even more complex and the entire situation perplexing.

Let's just imagine that teachers were fed up as being portrayed as the "bad guys" in the educational system and decided to go on strike....or sit in the classroom and read a good book, while disregarding their students.

Would you all be rooting for them?????

I totally disagree.

But the union leaders of the good cops need to remember that being a good cop involves doing their jobs and respecting their civilian elected leaders.

I didn't think so...

Of course it's wrong for teachers to strike because they have inadequate supplies, overcrowded classrooms and poor working conditions.
The NYPD, on the other hand, got their feelings hurt so they have every right to put the public at risk.

It's always a victory for me when I remember why I entered a room.
