Yes it does, respect for authority should come automatically until they give you good reason not to and the mayor has given the NYPD every reason not respect him. That is exactly what I taught my children. If a PO tells you to jump, you jump and cooperate with him every way possible.

The Advance is the local paper of Staten Island. The NY Daily News is distributed throughout the city. Just because they are not distributed nationwide does not mean they are unreliable although they do have their biases just like the national news networks. This story is a hometown situation for me and not just a news story. Things are not quite as cut and dry as they are made out to be.

I don't believe it. Common sense says it would have been ""headline"" news and if this were the truth it would have been published nationwide.
