They appear to be illegally "striking."
Sorry, but they work for US and for our elected leaders. We pay their salaries.
They have no right to stop working.
The arrogance....
BTW - they turned their backs on the last several mayors...including Rudy.

Why put your life on the line daily only to be brought before the grand jury or to be hated in your neighborhood? I sure wouldn't.

They should strike - legally or illegally. Don't blame them a bit.

Then you'd need to quit your job and stop taking paychecks and benefits.
The police have no right to decide not to do their jobs to the fullest, any more than other employees. If the rest of us decided not to do our jobs because we were disgruntled, we'd get fired.
They sure aren't helping their image with this arrogant nonsense.

I wonder how long this thread will last?

Maybe the police officers across the country should unite and go on strike. They are, after all, in the same boat so what is being cheered and supported for NYC police should also be cheered and supported for all.

I'm sure it's illegal for police to strike as civil service employees.
So, police should break the law? Law enforcers should break the law?
