That you're not employed as a board moderator and don't have to face the mess that's been made of the boards in the past twenty four plus hours. They're going to have to scrutinize every thread with a fine-tooth comb. I bet they were looking forward to an easier time this week.

We just returned from our family .Christmas late this afternoon. I have looked at a few posts, but I must have missed something!

Its shameful what happened here....its persons like that "one" ...that could cause the boards to be shut during holidays....

Closing down the boards would punish us all...for the one bad seed...I hope there is some way to ban "trash" like her/him...

It is their job. Without anything to scrutinze they would be out of work. I am sure they are paid well.

Exactly! If the members of this board were able to act like adults and simply not respond to those posts, then it would have been over by 1am. Unfortunately self control of proving theimselves holier than thou ensured that the scenario go on all day. It was an example of right-fighting. Proving you are more correct than anyone else.

I'm another who could absolutely live without the board for Christmas day. In fact, I believe I only checked in briefly last evening, mainly to see if the boards were operating. When I saw some posts indicating something must have been going on, I opted for another Hallmark movie instead.

My interpretation of the many, many replies to the thread won't be popular.

These folks surely are bright enough to have understood they were perpetuating the hatefulness by keeping it fed. Some even replied multiple times. In fact, the OP repeatedly thanked them for 'bumping' it, keeping it alive and on top of the list.

Therefore, the only logical conclusion I can make is that they were enjoying the fracas, so chose to keep it going while protesting in righteous indignation. Truly, no other explanation makes sense to me.

Strive for respect instead of attention. It lasts longer.

@reiki604 Exactly. In most cases it wasn't about being oh-so-offended.

The title of the thread clearly indicated what would be waiting inside. The responses on that thread were useless as it was; but the multiple threads all over the board last night were just about attention and not about the original thread.
