Buying any seasonal items with a life time warranty on them. My example is a 75' by 5/8" hose. Better buy them at a store like Home Depot or Lowe's, or some type of store that has them all the time.

I went to replace one I bought at Shopco, that had burst, and since it was a "seasonal item"(?), they didn't have them in stock. Now with the lack of rain we have had for weeks, seems like this is the "seasonal" time of the year for a hose to be used and even bought.

Had to go with the manufacturer, which was very nice to me, but it was a whole lot more work that just taking it back to say, Home Depot, and having it replaced. I had to cut off the ends of the hose/produce the sales receipt/bar code number and item number under bar code.

Take pictures of all of the above and get them to the manufacturer in order to get a replacement. My UPS man just delivered the replacement today, and I went to Shopco almost 2 weeks ago.

Just something to think about when purchasing what some stores consider "seasonal items".
