I love subway tiles and I don't think that is out of style at all, they are considered classic and not trendy which is what you want not something that will be out of style in a few years. I love robins egg blue (like sleeping beauty turquoise??) and I love wainscoting. I would prefer white over beige though.

I wouldn't use laminate for flooring in a bath......it doesn't play well with water........you might want to look into the plank vinyl that looks like wood, has texture and isn't affected by water...........my suggesting to you on the tile is............go big.........12" tiles........that will reduce the grout lines you will have to end up cleaning and give you an easier surface to clean...............................................raven
