It might be hard to do but not ,impossible. It is always good advice from a  lady, whom I respect

This might explain some of her recent comments. I always liked her until recently. I will pray she is comfortable and with her family.

@Nancy Drew, I know what you're referencing, and I seriously doubt that one should write off her thoughts as having anything to do with her COPD and congestive heart failure.

This comment of yours is beneath you. This isn't the time or place.

She insulted a large group of women unnecessarily. I was giving her a pass in the fact that being on medication or feeling unwell. This did seem out of character for her. I was kind. Please think before you scold.

@Nancy Drew, okay. I'm not aware of any insults against a large group of women and have no clue as to how find out. If you could just briefly summarize, I would appreciate it. TIA.

I respect many people on both sides of the aisle. How about letting people have a tribute , without trying to sully it?

Yes they do, and most people monitor them selves when expressing condolences

Can we forget the politics and just pray for a woman who has always shown strength.

Re: Barbara Bush in Failing Health

One of the nice stories I read about Barbara was how concerned she was for her black home helper/ maid/ housekeeper,( I don't recall her position )when they were traveling across country, with the children on a road trip

It seems they had to stay over in a state, that practiced segregation. The helper said she could sleep in the car, Barbara wouldn't hear of it

She got ahold of George, who persuaded the manager to let her employee sleep in a room. It was a moving story, I think from Barbabra's book

It showed how much she cared about others, and what a kind employer she was.. I think she was one of the most beloved First Ladies ,by the White House staff

Re: Barbara Bush in Failing Health

I had the honor of meeting Mrs Bush....she was without question, my favorite First Lady ...grace under fire, honest, warm and down to earth.  But, don't count her out yet.  Her granddaughter said she is in "good spirits" and a fighter.   She was a First Lady who had great influence but never exhibited just how much in public.  She achieved what she wanted in life and that was a lot.  Whenever she leaves us, it will be sad but what a ride for her....most people, no matter where you stand politically, liked and respected Barbara Bush.
