I live in the Tampa area and go over the Sunshine Bridge a lot. Funny but I am not scare to drive over it. I use to live in Baltimore and have gone over that bridge and through the tunnel. My girls and family still live there and was just there for Christmas. We did not go over the bridge than because we took the Beltway. It is sad to see and hope all goes well with rebuilding.

My prayers go out to the people in the cars and hope for a full rescue.

@Marp I understand how you feel about that bridge. I only had one occasion to go over that bridge as a passenger but I found it scary, I have always felt queasy going over long, high bridges.

We are watching updates here at work...I bet I have driven over that bridge hundreds of times. If we didn't want to hassel with Harbor tunnel traffic, we would take the bridge. My sister goes over it EVERY MORNING to get to work...just so sad and I cannot imagine the fear

Just how horrible for those,on the bridge, it will be a recovery at this point.

Yes, they are being shipped to different countries. I was at the Panama Canal and saw all of the cargo ships going through with the cargo boxes. It was amazing to watch how it all worked to get through the canal.

I just read in the Business Insider and Newsweek this same ship was involved in a crash in 2016 Antwerp Belgium. The ship struck the port's wall. It as changed ownership over the years.
