Bag Mulch vs Bulk Mulch

I purchased bulk loads of black mulch late last year. It really looks bad now. I know it cost less but I wonder if the bag mulch will hold the black color longer? I know Lowes has it on sale 4/10.00. But that is only 2 cubic feet..{#emotions_dlg.ohmy}

I know some don't like the wood mulch because of insects, but I don't have mine next to wood. Except for the tree{#emotions_dlg.laugh}
