Yes the weather pattern sure has changed.  It was just a matter of time..........we had 3 inches of heavy wind blown rain overnight in RI , some areas here had hurricane force winds of 75 mph.   Jeez, December was so quiet.   We have more on the way!

It's snowin' in the pines. Not sure if we can get out. We have a dental appt. this afternoon.

Our country road is not plowed right away. So even if the main highway is, sometimes our country road is not.

Also expecting blizzard conditions later in the week.

I had off work today (I work for a school district) due to widespread power outages and flooding from yesterday's rain storm.  We have a  very wet December and January so far.  It is forecasted to have another heavy rain storm on Friday night and a rain/snow event on Monday night into Tuesday.

Here in the Denver area, we call it Stock Show weather.  Every year when the Stock Show comes to town, the weather dips down in the single digits and we have snow.  We've already decided we will be going somewherre warm during this time next year. Stay safe & warm everyone.

West TX has had some very windy weather this week. No moisture here in my immediate area. Our temps have held steady in the 40's, but the 60mph wind brings our wind chill to low teens.

This weekend we will see much colder temps with lows in single digits, and Monday a high of 30.

We had rain, wind, and flooding. Everyone came home early yesterday, and evening meetings were canceled.

Just as I was getting ready to get dinner around 6:30 or so we lost power. We had crackers and cheese.

The power came on this morning for a minute, then went off again. I just got here, and it's on again. DH is here. The wind is still bad, so I don't know how long it will stay on. Smiley Frustrated

I was just about to post on the weather when I saw this post.  I am already tired of winter and it just started ! We haven't had any significant snowfall or very cold weather yet here in St. Louis but it's about to get into the low 20's  by Friday with rain changing to snow with 2-4"  by the weekend and dropping into the teens.  YUCK !!
