I do recall one man I knew in my late twenties and early thirties who looked positively wonderful either clean shaven or with a beard (though not one of those long rat's nest looking things). He was a true exception and a very good looking guy, so almost any look worked for him.

Those awful long beards remind me of the cartoons where you never knew what was hiding in them and what might pop out of them at some point.

My ex had a beard when I met him and he still had a beard when we divorced. I have never seen him w/o a beard. My youngest has a beard and my oldest son goes back and forth between having one and not having one.

They all keep them short, trimmed an neat, and they all look good in them.

I don't like long beards at all.....neat or not.

Generally speaking, I do not care for beards, but some men do look good with one. Men I have seen with and without beards look younger without a beard.

I'm sure a full body of man hair was considered an absolute must have for a freezing woman that lived in a cave....fortunately, never had to live in one so never found it desirable.
