I love Back to School. It makes me happy and sad. It makes me happy because I taught for 45 years and sad because I had to retire before I wanted to as a result of health problems. Teaching was/is my life and passion. I spent most summers planning lessons for new students coming in. I would have taught for free; I loved it that much. I miss the classroom every day.

Have a great rest of your summer and look forward to your new year with your charges.

Primary Crayola crayons are best for smaller hands...but are increasingly hard to find. I usually stock up now for the grands...but the school supplies are sold at schools in a big pack...cost a little more but it is a fundraiser that goes directly back to the school....win-win

I'm not quite ready to think about it, but I suppose it warrants a trip. I also get a huge discount when I shop at Office Depot, Office Max and Staples, through a district program.

I could have written your post! I also miss teaching....retired and would love to still be in the classroom....but my grandkids are filling the void...and the five year-old is my sometimes-willing participant in some readiness lessons....she starts K in a few weeks...can hardly believe it...😢just growing too fast!
